The Hospitality Business Network Foundation, Inc. is an organization consisting of executives from the public and private sectors engaged in a business to business networking activity for the purposes of sharing new ideas, business trends, past histories, successes, and best business practices.
The organization meets formally three times a year for conferences and hosts an annual golf tournament (the famous Turkey Trot) at the end of the year for sponsors and guests. A minimum of 50% of all net proceeds from sponsorship support and entry fees are donated to 501(c)(3) non-profit charities and foundations.
The HBN Foundation is chaired by G. Clisby Clarke, forme CEO of McCann-Erickson Atlanta, and an eleven-person board of directors. Kristie Abney, SVP Transwestern, former Chair of the Gobblers Balls serves as Vice Chair - Secretary/Treasurer.
TTI fonding member, W. B. Baldwin serves as President/CEO. W. B. recently retired as SVP, Corporate Development of the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau after a 42 year career.
Judy Claxton, former ACVB VP, Corporate Events and Administration is Administrative Consultant. Judy brings 40 years of hospitality industry experience and event palnning to the HBN.
Jason Deegan, Teledini VP Product Development has volunteered to assist with marketing and IT development including the new website www.hbnfoundation.org and www.atlantaturkeytrot.com.
Accounting services are provided by Stewart Carlin, Managing Partner, Accoung Consultants of Cobb, LLC, and maintains the HBN Foundation's business office at 3901 Roswell Road, NE, Suite 130, Marietta, Georgia 30062.
